“Hey there, Garden Nerd! Before you start chatting about your prize tomatoes or mysterious lettuce pests, let’s make sure we’re all on the same compost heap… in a good way. 🌱
These are the friendly rules that keep our community blooming.”

Welcome to the Bay Area Garden Nerd community! 🌱 We’re here to share gardening knowledge, tips, and inspiration — all while keeping our space friendly, supportive, and on-topic.

1. Be Respectful

We’re all here to learn and grow. Treat everyone with kindness and respect, even if you have different gardening opinions.
2. Stay on Topic

Keep posts and discussions relevant to gardening, planting, and related topics. This includes the Bay Area microclimate, seasonal tips, and plant care.

3. No Spam or Self-Promotion

Avoid excessive self-promotion, links to unrelated products, or spammy content. Occasional sharing of your own gardening projects or resources is fine if it adds value to the conversation.

4. Keep It Family-Friendly

Our community is open to all ages. Avoid profanity, offensive language, or inappropriate content.

5. Be Helpful & Supportive

Offer advice, answer questions, and share your experiences. We’re here to help each other grow.
6. Use Accurate Information

If you’re sharing facts or data, do your best to make sure they’re accurate. Cite sources if you can.

7. Moderator Involvement

Our moderators may remove posts or comments that violate these guidelines. Repeat violations may result in temporary or permanent removal from the community.
